Dear Mr. Miller:

We have released all responsive documents.  The bidders who submitted proposals to RFP 17-18/24 were, in alphabetical order:

  1. Admiral Security Services, Inc.
  2. American Guard Services, Inc.
  3. Condor Security of America, Inc.
  4. Cypress Private Security
  5. Personal Protective Services
  6. Spearhead Protection, Inc.
  7. U.S. Security Associates

The price quoted by each bidder are contained on the Proposal Worksheet (Attachment 4), which were released.  Note, however, that price was only one factor in determining the award for this RFP.

On the bid evaluation sheet, names of Evaluators and their affiliated Department have been redacted because of the strong public interest in not disclosing how the Port assigns evaluators so that the Port may ensure it receives proposals that do not unduly target individual evaluators.  This interest outweighs the public interest in disclosing individual names, especially since the remainder of the evaluation criteria and scoring is available.  (Gov. Code § 6255.)

Thank you again for your request.

Request for Cure & Correction: We hope this response is satisfactory to you.  If you believe the Port has failed to comply with the Public Records Act, you may submit a written Request for Cure and Correction to the Secretary of the Board.  This Request must be filed within 90 days of the alleged noncompliance.  The Office of the Port Attorney will investigate all Requests and respond within 30 days.  For further information, please refer to the "Frequently Asked Questions" section on the Port's Public Records webpage.
